ya, Im 17 and have a 1990 talon tsi. I have a custom manifold, 272 cams, 16g turbo, 3 inch downpipe, autometer boost guage, and a boost controller. I payed for it all MYSELF, and even did the work myself, becuase I couldnt afford to have someone else do it! just cuz were young doesnt mean we are worthless.

Most 5speed AWD 1st Gen's weigh around 3200-3300lbs. 2nd Gen's are usually about 50-100lbs more. However, with all of the weight reduction, my current '90 AWD street car should come out to be slightly under 3000lbs :)
