feels good dont it

Sounds nice mate ;) be nice to hear it having some real beans as well tho :D

haha it's hard to videotape and drive at the same time.

ovcorse u can run a bov and external wategate. but i found out that running a external wategate and boost tap dosen't wrk. I had a 10psi spring in my gtx and turned the tap up to 19psi and it blew the wategate

So can you have a BOV and External Wastegate at the same time?

WRONG you dont need a bov you can have 1 to save the turbo...its not a MUST srt4life

drewce123: a wastegate prevents the turbo from overboosting by venting out exhaust gases that spin the turbo and a BOV prevents the compressor surge :P

sorry I ment the evo VIII

"WRONG! Evo IX produces 20PSI.. The stock evo XIII produces 19PSI (thats the differents between 265hp VII and 280hp IX)" That doesn't even make sense. There's no Evo XIII. Since the Evo IV, they all have the same Twin Scroll turbine and the same Intercooler. Newer versions have more horsepower and torque because they have continued to engineer the engine, not because they have a different turbo.

WRONG! Evo IX produces 20PSI.. The stock evo XIII produces 19PSI (thats the differents between 265hp VII and 280hp IX)

bov prevents wear on the turbo, not the motor. it also prevents the turbo from slowing so when you open the throttle after the gear change you experience less lag. otherwise good explanation.

and if you have a turbocharged car ou must have both of those things

The primary function of the wastegate is to stabilize boost pressure in turbocharger systems A blowoff valve is a pressure release system present in turbocharged engines. Its purpose is to prevent compressor surge and reduce wear on the engine.

can som1 tell me the difference between a Wastegate, and a blow of valve and can u put these both on the same car? thanks

it produces stock 19PSI but you put bolt-ons and other modifications and get it to more than what's stock.

skyline you know nothing...go read a book

a wastegate prevents the turbo from overboosting by venting out exhaust gases that spin the turbo....blow off valve prevents the compressor from slowing down between shifts and compressor surge..

skyline is a dumshit its not stock turbo anyway so ya 24 psi is not bad

wait 24 psi doesn't the evo 9 only allow 20.1 psi ? just asking if im wrong correct me

ive got an open wastegate too. But i hear its really bad for your engine.

so a wastegate protects ur engine, and a BOV protects ur turbo?

Sweet!

i gotta do the open wastegate too

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH man that sound is soooooooo awsome! :D

funniest comment ever.
