Yeah they are rear wheel drive but my guess would be they replaced the entire drive train and made it chain driven to make it easier to use the hayabusas engine/transmission. A hayabusa engine has about 180hp stock so yes its enough power to make a smart car do donuts. But do the world a favour and don't "soop-up" your geo metro. If you want a small cool car to mod get a Chevette because they are already RWD and cheap.

Are Smarts rear wheel drive? Just curious. I don't know crap about Cycles, just didn't think a cycle engine would be strong enough to push a car that fast, and didn't know how they would use the transmission. It's be cool to have a fast ass Metro though, blow people away at the light! Maybe Suzuki makes another engine that would work that I can soop up.

wow i love this car before watching this video i was dreaming about rushing traffic with mini cooper some day but this thing is excellent. i have my own workshop will try to make same by using chasis of "reva" a battery powered small but good balanced car and almost similar to this
